Chaos

Spent the morning cooking and preparing for the BBQ and, miraculously given the forecast, it didn’t rain (there were even some glimpses of sunshine!).
We all demolished the food, enjoyed A’s enormous raspberry and chocolate cake, played a word game, watched the dogs chasing each other and playing, and being dived on by the children. T drifted off for snoozes as he acclimatises to being back working in the nightclub. The traditional annual family photo was as chaotic as ever, trying to corral dogs kids and grownups to all have eyes open and look in the same direction requires many, many attempts and only one or two (nearly!) successful ones!
Later in the afternoon Mt and I took the kids to the play park where AR powered herself on the swing for ages and Mx played pirates with Mt, leaving H and Kt to watch the dogs and chat over tea.
In the evening we cleared up a bit then watched a box set drama about a murderous love triangle. Nonsense but entertaining…..
