Unexpected pleasure

I had been talking to an old friend about some sad news from a mutual friend. We both decided it had been far too long since we had just spent time together, so I drove over to visit. This wonderful beach is just a few minutes from her house. We paddled in the sea, came back and sat in the garden for a while then went out for an al fresco dinner at a local restaurant where we demolished a bottle of wine, fish and chips and sticky toffee pudding.

A pretty good way to spend a sunny weekday.
