Claire’s Place

When Claire moved in, three years ago, the view to the river was totally obscured by shrubby trees and there was no garden. Where there is now a veranda was a muddy area filled with rubbish.  The house was half completed downstairs and just a shell upstairs. The previous owners had had a lot of money problems and had basically camped out in the house.
Now the veranda is built, the downstairs is finished and the upstairs half built. The garden isn’t seen so much in this image, but is wonderful. The view is magnificent, especially on a summer afternoon when it is also reflected in the windows.
It’s a real joy to be here. Adding to the joy are three other friends also staying here for one of our occasional G&T meetings. The food was great and playing Mexican Train made the evening go with a zing.
This lovely weather continues today too!
