Balmoral

With the week off work so we planned a few day trips. Weather is looking a bit dodgy so we moved our tripped to Balmoral to today. Glad we did the weather was glorious!

I knew the drive over would be great. Stunning scenery. But knew little to nothing of the place itself. I can completely understand why the royals love it so much!

You only see in one room (the ballroom), the rest is around the grounds. Next to the River Dee and plenty of woodland walking to be had. We were there about 3 hours but could have easily spent the rest of the day on the walking trails.

Also stopped at Tarmachan Cafe nearby. Excellent coffee along with a cinnamon roll and chocolate babka between us. Delicious.
