Wellhead Park, Bourne

Today saw us enjoying our first meal out for what seems like years. Probably is two years! And who better to share it with than our family : son and wife, daughter and husband, grandpug and granddaughter?! We ate at Smiths in Bourne, which is not only dog-friendly, but has a fun play-area for children, too. And the food was brilliant.

Afterwards, we went for a short walk to (and in) Wellhead Park. It, too, has a play area, as well as wild meadow land with grass paths. Saw my first Gatekeeper butterfly of the year, among thistles, and plentiful Great Horsetail that I haven't seen growing anywhere for years.

Sad to say farewell to the Pugglesworths this evening, but good to hear they're safely home. All went too quickly, but at least it happened, and was lovely. And it didn't rain at all.
