Microbic flower

I'm strapping an unwritten rule (mine) and blipping my work! This morning I was "reading" the environmental microbiological monitoring agar plates when one of the plates, rather than having a couple of the same old dull, flat, circular, opaque, microbiological colonies, presented itself with an image of a pretty yellow flower sitting on a peculiar stem..I just had to snap a photo with my phone! No insects on this flower, but the micro-world can still be fascinating!
