Balm-y

We were rudely awakened this morning (6.22 to be precise), by a car driving (badly) up and down our close.

They spent the best part of 20 minutes trying to reverse off the close; something wasn’t right. Just as Mr A was about to get dressed and investigate, our neighbour at the open end of the road stepped in.

He told us later that although the two guys in the car didn’t smell of alcohol, they were clearly on something. Fair play to him, he got them out of the car, took the keys and drove the car to a safe place and parked it up.
His wife rang the police, but they never showed up. Shame really as the lads decided to get back in the car once parked, to sleep off whatever they’d taken. Our neighbour said they slept until midday!

To say we live on such a quiet usually little road and deliveries struggle to find us, we get our fair share of idiots in cars.

Today’s blip (to complement the barmy driving) is of our lemon balm plant, which also seems to be growing out of control at the moment.
