Torrential

The ferry arrived very early, and instead of driving off straight away, we had to queue for 45 minutes for border control. All our papers were checked, and we were told that the British QR code on the covid passport couldn’t be read by the French, so everything has to be inputted manually, which is why it takes so long to enter France!
Of course ours could be read, but we didn’t get through any faster!
It was good to get home, and I went to collect Elvis. He was pleased to see me but didn’t want to come home with me! He’s had such a good time staying with his friend Archie that I had to persuade him into the car with a biscuit!
