Of late well know local arist who loved to paint the local characters of the village .there is a crowdfunding underway to raise enough money to have all these wonderful and historically important images put together into a very tasteful hardback coffee table book which will serve as a tribute to Jim's art and to Porthleven 's proud history.it was lovely to talk to his wife and daughter this morning. She told me the visitors felt emotional looking at all his paintings and a dvd to watch and listen to those with their broad cornish accent. Sue said we miss all those lovely characters where everyone knew each other in those days.i bought a dvd for H and I will look forward to the book .
