The fates have been kind today

Yesterday I was howling at the moon, after under-ordering the material we are using as base for a new shed. So I rang the builders' merchant at 8am and said "how close to now can you deliver me another tonne?'

He said, "will now do? We're  just loading the lorry, if you're quick. I'll nip outside and get them to hold it." And while the transport manager kept saying "get on with it" in the background, they cut me a special price and halved the delivery charge.

I had to go to Inverness so I gave my mobile number in case the lorry driver couldn't find the site. He rang me, said "I'm already there, I can see what you're doing, do you want me to open the bag inside the frame?"

Then he sent me this photo. He had even raked it. There really are kind people in the world, even in the building trades.
