Redcurrant time again…

…Last year I made (a particularly tart as it happened) shrub. Spent ages going cross-eyed removing all the tiny stalks, sterilising bottles etc.
Stored it in fridge door.
Two days in, opened said fridge and smashed all except one bottle on the floor. Oh it WAS a sticky mess, underneath all the cupboards it seeped (in all its vinegariness).

If I can find my original (sweeter) recipe I might try it again this year. But I’m not promising.
We still haven’t used the one we have left from last year. I view it with distrust.

Today evaporated with the elderly ones.
