Woman in the Ashmolean

Lovely day in Oxford. Rain made everything smell fresh and we had fabulous and relatively healthy lunch and supper. Vegans are well catered for amongst the dreaming spires. 

Hardly any colleges open but we got into the gardens at Balliol which are lively and in places very mysterious.

Ashmolean museum was wonderful. Lots of Egyptian artefacts. You feel transported staring at those enormous reliefs with their hieroglyphs.There is even one that looks like a very old selfie, two guys with their arms around each other’s shoulders.
