Chillin'
Rafi slept for about 12 hours last night and I had my first reasonable nights sleep for weeks.
Went with Rafi up to Treetops this morning only to be told that he won't be able to go again until they have an evacuation chair and alarm etc as he's in a wheelchair and wouldn't be able to use the lift in the event of a fire. I'm disappointed as it was a good place to go to for a change of scenery and peace and quiet.
A rep came to the hospital today and Rafi tried a chair which he might be getting to use at home it's a multifunctional chair that can be used as a dining chair/activity chair. We just have to wait again for funding to be approved.
Rafi has been referred to a specialist residential rehab unit down in Surrey, we spoke to the co-ordinator today and it sounds just great and perfect for Rafi. I will be the main person staying with him, but hopefully the rest of the family will visit regularly. His Grandparents also live close by which is good.We will find out on Wednesday if funding has been approved for this.
Also found out that all being well Rafi will have his first hydrotherapy session on Thursday which I'm looking forward to. Soon after Rafi had his first haemorrhage I imagined that hydrotherapy would be a lovely experience for him and perhaps encourage him to try to move his limbs more, well the time has finally come! Kiera has volunteered to go in with him and I'll be official photographer!
