Swan Plant Seeds

The early part of the day was mild. The temperature went up to 16.6ºC before the southerly invaded and turned everything cold again.

The warmth triggered the ripening of the seedcases on the swan plants I grow to attract monarch butterflies. Here are three different ‘swans’- intact, opening and exploding. This is the first time I’ve seen them do that.
