new lens

we are planning a trip to yellowstone (!!!) and are ordering lots of supplies.  I ordered a long lens to play with - and took it to the park over the river to see what it is like.

It is CHEAP!! but that is the point actually - I won't spend a small fortune on something that I might drop or end up putting on a shelf for a long time.  I looked into renting a lens, but with the travel, the shipping would be very hard.

anyway - this might be a waste - except that it already was fun to play.  Learned that the tripod is a must, tho. even tho i like the result here.
