A lovely gift

There is a lovely little wildlife oasis in the centre of the village called `The Horsepool`. It originally was a place where the horses passing through Burbage stopped for a drink whilst the carters/carriage drivers had a pint in the village inn.
It eventually turned into a bit of a wilderness until a group of people got busy and restored it to it`s former glory. It`s now an educational place where the local schools take pupils to learn about nature
