Bridge

Thanks to Bob for hosting Wide Wednesday with the theme of 'bridge' this week. One of my regular walks is to Esher Common where I do a circular loop crossing over west bridge first, walking through the common, and then returning via east bridge - both bridges cross the M25. It seemed the right choice for today with the threatening skies in the background - those skies did materialise as heavy rain later - so heavy that Gavin's golf game was called off during the second nine as they had to close the course.

Last night Tommy went out with two friends and then they decided to come back to our house for pizzas and to sleep over - luckily I always have a supply of pizzas in the freezer. It is great that he can have friends around again, it seems ages since this was allowed due to Covid restrictions and as they nearly all have had Covid or are vaccinated I don't feel at risk. Tommy was very good and tidied up after they left this morning.

Is anyone watching The Handmaid's Tale (season 4)? While it is an absolute misery fest and I need to be in the right kind of mood to watch it as it is so bleak, I am drawn to the cinematography is so exquisitely beautiful, the use of colours, tones, and composition is most definitely award winning. I am also enjoying the music in this current season.

Team GB is doing well in the medal table - it seems to be an Olympics of surprises where the expected medals are not happening and instead they are being won where it was unexpected.
