At the Olympics, Madame Fuchsia, resplendent in gold slippers, lead her small troupe in a mad extravaganza leaving them and the audience gasping.
Regretfully, they did not win a medal at the inaugural ballet event.
The judges all agreed that the spiders and ants that shook out from their tutus added nothing to the dance and marked them down considerably.
An objection was lodged against the eventual Gold Medal winners, the Buddleias as their use of butterflies was deemed to be acceptable.
It was, however, not upheld.
C'est la vie.
