ROLLS

This morning was the funeral of my friend's husband. Among many other interests and activities during his life, he'd been a classic car enthusiast and restorer. He and Margaret had been very active members of various classic car clubs, some members of which came to pay their respects. The nearest one looks like a work in progress, while the car behind it was in wonderful condition.

It was as good a send-off as these things can be. Ray's nephew is the organist at Durham Cathedral and played two pieces during the service which was lovely. We Wild Girls left the family to it afterwards and went back to Doreen's for coffee and cake, and our own thoughts.
