Judge and jury

Drove up to the new house last night and today my granddaughter drove me round some of the villages and we came across this amazing spectacle. Apparently this was the corner where a bridle road met WatlingStreet, the old Roman Road, and an area much used by highwaymen. Gallows were sited here next to the hangman’s cottage.
