Congratulations, Amy!

After six years of hard work, today was our daughter Amy’s big day: two hours of doctoral dissertation Zoom defense from 10am to 12 pm. The first hour was a public session. We didn’t want to miss it. So we logged in at 9:50. At 10am, 4 of the 5 committee members and 10 students joined. 5 minutes passed, we didn’t see the last professor on Zoom. Another 8 minutes passed, we still didn’t see him. The four committee members suggested that the defense should be rescheduled. I was so distressed. As we were about to log off, this 5th committee member showed up. Thank God!
