Sunflower…

….flowering on one of the least sunny days we’ve had recently! I just missed it being visited by a bee and hoverfly at the same time.
 It’s been humid today but the wind got up in the afternoon which meant our swim was quite choppy but warm enough once you got used to the temperature. Our good friend joined us ….so nice to see her picking up life again after her cancer treatment earlier in the year :) 
We then sat eating shortbread and drinking coffee on the beach for a bit ……and watching the heavy rain all round us ….but not a drop here! So need to water both ours and mums garden tomorrow.

I realised when I posted this how badly the leaves have been chomped! Price you pay for making your garden wildlife friendly I guess :)
