Flower Friday...

Stormy weather today here in Essex, although not as bad (yet?!) as the forecast made out. It's proper blustery out there  in between the sunshine and showers!   The garden is taking a bit of a beating but I'm sure these teasel flowers will survive! I do love them but they do spring up where they aren't wanted.. normally next to a path so whenever you brush by one of them reaches out to attack you! And every part of them seems to be spiky!! Ouchie!

Lovely morning today as we went to visit our friends who used to live next door, and it was lovely catching up with them once more. 

I think the windy weather has been affecting the birds too - 2 doves flew into our patio door/windows this morning so I've had to close the blinds to see if that distracts them a bit! And the sparrowhawk did land briefly too before the wind made them fly off again with whatever it had in its' clutches!! Glad I'm not having to pick up the remains of that!
