Nothing's Happening By The Sea...

Monkey Boy at someone else's party, so I got a little time for a stroll on the beach at Bettystown. Hard to believe it was snowing 16 hours later!

And yes, that is a road sign! The beach is one of the few that serve as a public roadway - if you're careful! The local fire brigade brought their brand new fire tender down to show it off a few years ago, and failed to realise it was heavier than the old one. Result - E30,ooo in flood damage as it ended up overnight in 4ft of sea...

Further along at Laytown, they still hold a race festival on the beach every July.
