Amongst other tasks, today I did two very old -fashioned things. I went to the bank to pay in a cheque. I can't recall the last time I did that. And then I had some passport photographs taken to enable me to apply for my elderly person's travel pass (not to be sneezed-at as it will give me free travel on the Metrolink system just as soon as I feel the need to resume use of public transport.
