Heather

It didn't seem like a very nice day this morning. Rain showers and strong winds kept the temperatures down. I get Olympicked out after a bit and wandered into my room to play with toys.

I took a trip up to the old airfield on Little Haldon this afternoon to have a walk around and see how the heather's looking. It's a very mixed landscape with grasses, gorse and heather. The bell heather is a lovely colour but in patches and the ling heather is a much paler colour and a little bit behind the bell heather in blooming. It all looks very nice though, it's just a case of selecting a location where there's something to give a bit of height and also looking in the direction where the clouds are. I like this on with the grass seed heads in the foreground.
