Coffee

We met Ian for coffee at Sandersons (extra), this used to be the gym in our compound until they changed it into a hotel for long term residents with restaurants. 

We then to Yas mall for a wander. In the afternoon, I updated Karen’s new PC, just the email to sort out this week

Karen wanted to watch the Olympics. We have Chromecast on the big TV so thought it would be a simple process of signing up to a channel and casting. We tried the ‘local’ (Qatar) Bein streaming service. After signing up the app doesn’t work with the new version of Mac iOS, then we found out that the Chromecast function is faulty (help desk say they will get around to looking at it later this year). Now I remember why we don’t use satellite or cable here. We then got a Discovery + subscription which we have to use with a VPN. Unfortunately it won’t Chomecast as the app tries to take over from tab Cast. I found a USB-C to HDMI cable, so it all now works. By this time it is 8pm and everyone in Tokyo is in bed
