Squawk, Squawk!!

I was in the garden with my camera, fitted with a Sigma 105mm Macro lens, when I heard this loud squawking sound, about 50 feet away...it turned out to be this dishevelled, rather large bird, so I thought it would make a change from posting flowers, perhaps it was calling for it's mate? The thing is you normally don't expect such sharp results from a macro lens, do you, not at 50 feet from the camera?
