Wet Wednesday
The weather app said rain in a couple of hours so thinking it would be dry weather we went to the park.
As we left the carpark there was a rumble of thunder and by the time we reached the trees it was raining, heavily. The foliage was dense so we sheltered. The rain stopped and the sun made a few feeble attempts, to shine .
We managed almost a full walk before the sky looked ominous . We thought we could make it back to the car but no...a quick dash to the show greenhouse for shelter... which was closed so we huddled under an overhanging hedge .
The rain became torrential and there was a simultaneous flash of lightning and a huge clap of thunder that made me jump. What we thought were petals from the privet turned out to be tiny hailstones. Poor Fletch was drenched and felt icy.
The storm passed and we quenched back to the car in bright sunlight.
Good old summer weather!
