Tumbling down in Talais

I spotted this lovely old ruin whilst passing through the small town of Talais  on my bike this morning.
It was obviously a grand building at one time. On the other side of the road is the Chateau de Talais which you can see on the right in this photograph.  The style of this ruin is similar to that of the Chateau. I wonder what its history is.
