Lammas

The 1st of August is Lammas Day the celebration of the First Grain Harvest a time for gathering in and giving thanks for the abundance
There are many customs - one being that the first sheaf of corn is often  ceremonially cut at dawn - would love to attend such a ceremony - attended a Lammas Fair when hubby and I live in Scotland - the only thing that spoilt the day was the weather
