Mural

This mural is on the side of Waitrose  It depicts things associated with Poynton. There’s dairy farming, arable farming, coal mining, a glimpse of the church spire and a winding gear from the pit. I was hanging around waiting for Norm who was in the opticians. Our new glasses have been a disaster from start to finish. They claim mine were lost in the post on the way to Essilor and they were my own frames. They suggested I had Hoya lenses instead and they’re nowhere near as good. Norm’s were wrong as he couldn’t read a number plate at the required distance. They made some more and they don’t fit the frames! They’ve gone back but there’s no sign of them 2 weeks later. They used to be brilliant but they’ve been taken over by different people.Grrr
