In a patch of snow

2.5C sleety showers, windy, and generally just as dreich.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went as far as the top of the field with the bridle path today. I thought we might find something snowy to photograph. However, the snow has been washed away almost everywhere. It is very wet underfoot.

I did get a couple of landscape shots, but they looked very miserable. I decided to post this shot of the two metal watering cans that can be found round behind the church (for watering graveside flowers). They were in the only patch of snow left, in the shelter of the building.

Inland, in the distance, I could see that there was plenty of snow on the slightly higher ground. Another mile or so inland there will be plenty of snow.
