Not nice even for ducks (or coots...?)!

It was so dull and wet today during my morning walk that even the waterbirds looked fed up! (Or was this coot actually bemoaning the poor state of her nest? Or the fact that her babies have now fled the nest? Who knows.)

Today's weather made us doubly grateful for the excellent weather we had from Tuesday to Thursday during our trip to Edinburgh.
