Barb wire patterns

Finally got out for a walk early this morning, first one since last Sunday, and it felt great to have the trail all to myself. A very odd day, not as hot but muggy, cloudy and even a very few drops of rain. I got so excited when I was driving home from my walk and it started to rain, but it lasted all of 30 seconds. 
Bill stopped by on his way home from town to pick up some veggies, and we had coffee on the porch. I tied string to the flattened pot pie pans and G tied them and some reflective tape to the fig trees. We'll see if that keeps the birds off the fruit. Sure hope so after such a disappointing number of figs last year. I did some thinning of carrots and other clean up in the garden. Another day done, and how can it be the last day of July?
