Meadow brown

The local main road to Leamington has been closed for more than a year because of %^&* HS-2 works. It is due to re-open on 1 August, so today was the last day of closure. One advantage of a traffic-free road has been the proliferation of insects in the verges. Walking there today there were vast numbers of butterflies weaving around the thistles and other wild flowers. This is a meadow brown.
