Poppies

We went to see Graham’s mum today who lives in a village halfway between Folkestone and Canterbury in Kent. We usually go via Canterbury but this time went via Folkestone which enabled us to do a stop off there en route. These crochet poppies adorn a long expanse of fencing above the shore at Folkestone. It’s the site where many soldiers left England to fight during the First World War. Lovely sight.
