A glorious day here in Perth. Road works outside our new address meant it was better to go places on foot today. Daisy liked that idea I think.

Anyway, there was time to gaze at the River Tay from the bridge - it was closed to traffic for the roadworks and was actually really nice to walk across without the usual row of cars and trucks.

Since it’s now my backyard, thought I should get to know some facts about the Tay so here we go:

The River Tay is the longest river in Scotland.

In terms of volume of discharge, the Tay is largest river in the United Kingdom.

The Tay is well-known for its Atlantic salmon and its population of freshwater pearl mussels.

There may be questions tomorrow!
