Chalkhill Blues
A super seven hour walk on the South Downs today, dodging the rain showers and watching butterflies. I made for the little known Ellman's Combe off Beddingham Hill which was heaving with Chalkhill Blues, clouds of them rising up out of the grass as I made my way downhill to where there were hundreds more sheltering in the old chalk quarry.
