Forest Bathing

I had a lovely opportunity today to join a 'Forest Bathing 'session at Bawsinch Nature Reserve Duddingston-looked after by SWT.  This is an idea which started in Japan in the 1980's to treat stress and depression.  It is really a form of mindfulness and nature connection made through making a sensory connection within woodland habitats by invitation to various quietly led activities.  I really enjoyed it especially as I was with some of my lovely forest school friends.
Later I made jam, mowed the grass and got ready for the week ahead.
