Great grandfather's gladioli

Mum tells me her grandfather used to grow beautiful gladioli. There's a photo somewhere of him standing next to his blooms, wearing a shirt and tie. I like to think he'd have approved of our gladioli efforts.

Visitors arrived today. It was fun. We ate far too much Chinese food and chatted for ages :-)
