Never Give Up

That's Gloria's motto as she shows the team how to do a beak-stand correctly.  Canada goose competition begins tomorrow so it's her last chance to whip the team into shape.  Most of them appear to be paying attention so she remains optimistic.  

In other PNW news, the competitors in the Hummie Division are still in hyper mode and haven't calmed down sufficiently to begin their competition.  They're still fighting over the feeder but the officials haven't lost hope.  Hummies always seem to come through when the chips are down.  

Team Heron did another fly-by but remained elusive as to the team's plans for the competition.  So far they've only been observed practicing the Stand Still and Stare event.  They really don't need any practice in that event but one has to give them credit for continuing to aspire to perfection.  

Breaking News:
Please check Extra for the late arrival of Team Heron and Team Beaver at the same time.  They were also joined by Team Hummie and Team Deer, but there are limits as to how many athletes I can get in one frame.  I hope they all show up tomorrow.  The PNW venue was alive with critters tonight.
