When Mom Is The Photographer......

....the bass player gets to be the thumbnail shot.  This is the last Sunday of the choir and orchestra July sabbatical, so our worship and praise music was led by Ben and the band who led us in some soul stirring songs to prepare our hearts and minds for another thought-provoking message from Brother Tracy about protecting our relationships from our enemy, Satan, in a manner that will be pleasing and glorifying to God.  That  task includes things like understanding the tactics of our enemy.  Satan is the master of the half-truth.  Adam and Eve did not physically die the day that they ate of the forbidden fruit, but they did die spiritually  A deadly half-truth if I ever heard one!  The next thing we need to be reminded of is not t love the world with its pleasure and pride.  We need to love people and help them to see their need for God, but as for the world and its pleasure, we should not love it, be conformed to it or become friends with it.  Being tempted is not sin, giving in to temptation is sin.  The key to victory over temptation is to look away and fix your gaze on something worthy of your attention.  The third thing we need to do is to put om the full armor of God, beginning with the helmet of salvation.  We need a personal relationship with God and all the other pieces of the armor will come along with it.  Brother Tracy will be back for one more week, so come and be blessed and inspired next week by all that God is doing at FBC Pflugerville.
