A rose

From a bouquet brought by Debbie at last Saturday’s Christmas in July.

Today was a lot quieter with just some shopping and supper for just the two of us.

Soul was back for the first time in a month. It was great to see him but he had lost a lot of weight. The stresses of living in one of the townships that were hit by the recent riots has taken its toll.

A bundle of groceries bought, I took him home. It was lovely to see his wife Sylvia too, although depressing to see where they live. But they are the most positive and kind people you can come across, so it turned out to be a lovely visit.
