Sandwood Bay
Only a month behind now, time sure does fly.
It was meant to be a fineish day so we decided to return to what many people think is the finest British beach Sandwood Bay.
Part of it's attraction is the 4+ mile walk in each direction as that means it is always fairly quiet. I have to say though I do agree it's up there with my favourites (Torrisdale Bay in Sutherland, Llanddwyn Island on Anglesey and Marloes Sands in Pembrokeshire being other excellent beaches).
The mile of sand beach fringed by dunes and rock and with a great stack added in it is just a delight in sunny weather. Plus you can just about see Cape Wrath lighthouse as before you get to the beach.
