A Bunny at Breakfast
This was one of my breakfast visitors, the one bold enough to stay while I blipped him. The gardens are overrun with rabbits and no one knows how to get rid of them. They are a menace in that they burrow under the decking of the new build flats which is unhygienic apart from anything else. Poison is not an option so there has been talk of bringing in ferrets or hawks, but nothing happens and they continue to hop about the gardens in gay abandon and even manage to squeeze through the railings and savour the grass of the Meadows before the dogs appear for their morning walkies.
It turned out to be a warm day although it was a chilly start for the gym visit. I could walk to Bruntsfield in the sunshine without a jacket.
Back home I dutifully did a little light cleaning instead of watching the Olympics and later put some dates and walnuts which were lingering in the depths of the cupboard out of their misery by making a date and walnut loaf.
I feel a tiny glass of wine may be in order now that the cake has come out of the oven.
