Backed Into A Tight Corner
The bunk bed man came this afternoon with the fittings for the top bunk which were missing a couple of weeks ago. He wasn't very happy when he saw what the previous fitter had done. It's a small room and we wanted the bed along the shorter wall to give a better area for the grandsons to play in. The other guy had said no problem and done it. . The fitter today said he would have a go but he didn't think it would be possible to fit the top bunk the same way. On the other hand it wasn't going to be easy, in fact maybe impossible, to turn the bed around 90 degrees to place it along the longer wall. We were definitely in a tight corner.
After a bit of thought, and I have to say with considerable input from me, we were able to find a way of assembling the top bunk where we wanted it. It's not going to be straightforward if we ever need to take it out though.
In other news I filled our green bin with trimmings from our lavender hedge and the jasmine which was taking over the garage back wall. The garden looks twice as big now. There were lots of lovely butterflies in the garden again, including a tiny blue one which I hadn't seen before. He was far too timid and quick for me to get a photo though.
