Polesden Lacey

Visited this National Trust Property in Surrey today with my friend Jill.
It was formerly owned by society hostess Margaret Greville who lavishly entertained royalty, politicians and celebrities there. The future King George VI and Queen Elizabeth spent part of their honeymoon there.
Margaret who was made a Dame in 1922 is buried in the grounds and, not far from her resting place, is a pet cemetery with the graves of 17 of her beloved dogs. See extra.  Further extra is a busy bee on an echinops plant.
