This morning's Finals of the  'Guard the Egg' event saw Team Spider's Ferocious Maternal Instinct on full display! Tiny Cora CobWeb Spider bravely protected her future offspring, warding off all predator types. Team Spider won a very tiny Silver Medal but Cora was heard to say, "The safety of my family is so much more important than any award!"
In the *extra...Tara of Team Dog emerging from the pond after placing First in an impressive new event...'The Run and Splash' 
Betty of Team Brown Anole, such a shy little thing, finally did 'brave up' and joined her team for breakfast.
Rosie, the co-captain of Team Roseate Skimmer, was taking a very short break before she moved on to her next event. 
Wally of Team WaterStrider preparing to clear the first low bubble hurdle during the Soaking Wet Steeple Chase. 
And last but certainly not least...Billy Blue Dasher of Team Dragonfly cheers his teammates on. Billy was badly injured during the prelims for his event. He's not able to compete but that hasn't kept him from giving Team Dragonfly his unfailing support!
