Paddling, Splashing and Sailing

Today we met up with H (MrsCyclops' friend from childhood) and her son L who is about CyclopsJnr's age.  H's parents and MrsCyclops' mum were there too.  

We had home-made scones in the garden while the boys played with lego, a delicious lunch in the garden while the boys played with lego, then walked up the hills behind their house a bit to a lovely spot on the river where the boys could paddle, throw stones, splash about and play with boats - even racing them!  

They had great fun for a couple of hours while the adults chatted!  In spite of the fact they have only seen each other a dozen times they play like best friends who have never been separated - it's quite lovely.
